ANAC and the IRS make operation against illegal import of aircraft

The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Federal Revenue Service of Brazil (RFB) triggered, last week, the “Rainha da Sucata” operation in Londrina, Paraná. The main objective of the operation is to prohibit the offering and selling of crashed aircraft and their parts that enter our territory illegally. Several hangars and containers were sealed at 14 Bis Airport, an estimated number of 100 aircraft without regular documentation are waiting for their liberation.

Brazil may grow more than China for the first time in 42 years

Paulo Guedes, the current Minister of Economy, pointed out that according to statistics this year, the Brazilian economy could grow more than China. If this actually happens, it will be the first time in 42 years. In addition, it should be mentioned that, at present, our country is already growing at a faster pace than the United States, France and Germany.

According to the World Bank projections, China is expected to grow 2.8% this year, while Brazil has returned to growth 4.5%, while major powers are in recession.

North Korea fires missiles in Japan

For the first time in five years, North Korea has fired missiles in Japan. In response to the firing, Japan and U.S. soldiers fired missiles into the sea towards North Korea. The provocation has concerned Japanese authorities who have asked the population to take shelter as a form of prevention.

Brazil formalizes request to join the OECD

After years of negotiations and speculation, the Brazilian government issued an official memorandum calling for entry into the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), which brings together the world’s largest economies.

With the delivery of this memorandum, Brazil will undergo the evaluation of 26 committees that work in different areas, such as Environmental issues, Health and Fiscal management. To date, Brazil has fulfilled 108 of the 230 requirements to become an official member and the estimate of full membership should take place in a three to five-year period.
